Students have been working in seven groups with international peers from GA Tech Atlanta and French campuses, attacking global challenges under Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). To accommodate the international collaboration, the course is offered as a flipped classroom, in which students have learned from online lectures and presented their project investigation every week. Their projects aim for the SDG targets such as enhancing students learning, increasing the number of researchers, improving job placement for international students, helping Asian women with reproductive health, dealing with air pollution, and reducing clothing waste.

On Sunday, March 17th, 2024, Prof. Best hosted a lunch for KMUTNB Engineering students at OYua River Terrace as part of his business trip in Bangkok. During lunch, students had opportunities to discuss about the class, such as difficulties in working with teammates from different time zones, problems with team communication and class logistics, and what students had learned and experienced from the class. Students have expressed that the class has given them good experiences and they have been working well with their teammates.

This online exchange program is offered for the second year and the number of KMUTNB participants is increased from four in the first year. The program will continue as the MOU between King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech) is established.
