Beware of Call Center Scams Impersonating and Threatening Students

Scammers are specifically targeting "students" by using fear tactics and impersonating departments/faculties/universities to trick them into transferring money!

⚠️ Scammer Tactics (Example Cases)
🔴 Case 1: Facial Scan Scam
Threatening phone calls demanding money and deceiving students into scanning their parents' faces to access banking apps (Loss of over 200,000 Baht).

🔴 Case 2: Fabricating Serious Offenses & Impersonating the Faculty
Calling students when they are alone and sending "fake official documents with the Garuda emblem," falsely claiming involvement in money laundering, drug trafficking, or mule accounts. They also force students to ask their parents for money by claiming the "faculty is organizing a study abroad program."

🛡️ 5 Steps to Respond When Receiving a Scam Call
"Keep calm and hang up immediately!" Then, follow these steps:

📞 Inform Parents / Advisor: Tell the truth immediately. Do not keep it to yourself, and never believe their threats instructing you not to tell anyone.

🚨 Call 1441 (Cyber Police): Report the incident and seek advice from officials.

🏦 Freeze Your Account Immediately: If you have already transferred money, call the bank immediately to suspend transactions as quickly as possible.

📸 Gather Evidence: Take screenshots of the phone numbers, chat conversations, and keep all fake documents.

👮 File a Police Report: Bring all evidence to file a report at the local police station.
