KMUTNB Faculty of Engineering Welcomes Delegation from National Chung Cheng University to Strengthen Academic Ties

Bangkok, Thailand — On the morning of June 5th at 10:00 AM, the Faculty of Engineering at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) had the distinct honor of welcoming Chih-Yi Chiu, Ph.D., Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering and Vice Dean of the College of Engineering at National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan.

The distinguished guest was warmly received by the Faculty of Engineering’s leadership team, led by Assoc. Prof. Kittichai Thanasupin, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Joining the Dean in the welcoming committee were Asst. Prof. Tanaporn Rojhirunsakool, Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof. Catereeya Suwannasri, Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Building on a Long-Standing Partnership

The Faculty of Engineering at KMUTNB and National Chung Cheng University have shared a fruitful academic relationship, officially anchored by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established in 2017. Prof. Chiu’s visit marks another significant step in nurturing this ongoing international partnership.

During the visit, the leadership teams engaged in highly productive discussions aimed at expanding their collaborative efforts. The primary focal points of the meeting included:

  • Summer Internship Programs: Creating new, hands-on opportunities for students to gain international experience and technical training.

  • Research Collaboration: Fostering joint research initiatives between the faculty members and graduate students of both engineering institutions.

  • Academic Exchange Programs: Enhancing the mobility of both students and academic staff to promote cross-cultural learning and knowledge sharing.
