On September 16, 2025, representatives from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) visited Faculty of Engineering at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) to evaluate the teaching and mentoring activities of the World Friends Korea (WFK) volunteer, Ms. Park Ji Yoon.
The KOICA delegation was led by Ms. Hong So Dam (Program Coordinator) and Mr. Danuch Karnjanayothin (KOICA Staff). From KMUTNB, the representatives were Assoc. Prof. Kittichai Thanasupsin, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanaporn Rojhirunsakool, Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Relations, and Ms. Pornpimol Ruanprach, staff of the Faculty of Engineering, gave feedback on Ms. Park’s teaching.
During the visit, KOICA assessed how Ms. Park’s volunteer work contributes to both language education and cultural exchange for local students and staff. Currently, she is conducting three classes at KMUTNB:
-
Introduction to Korean Language (ITKL)
-
Exploring Korean Culture (ECK)
-
One-on-One Mentoring (Consultation)
The evaluation emphasized how WFK volunteers can effectively apply their skills in language teaching and cultural exchange to benefit the university community. The visit also underscored the strong collaboration between KOICA and KMUTNB in promoting international understanding and educational development.
