KMUTNB Recruits Top Myanmar Talent and Promotes Engineering Programs at the 11th “Thailand Education Fair – Myanmar 2026”

YANGON, MYANMAR — On April 4, 2026, representatives from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) joined 28 leading Thai higher education institutions at the 11th “Thailand Education Fair – Myanmar 2026.” Held at the Sedona Hotel in Yangon, the prominent educational event attracted more than 600 participants, showcasing a diverse array of academic programs to Myanmar youth.

A dedicated delegation represented KMUTNB, highlighting the university’s strong engineering, technology, and international programs. The university’s representatives at the fair included:

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanaporn Rojhirunsakool, Assistant Dean for International and Public Affairs, Faculty of Engineering

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tawiwan Kangsadarn, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS)

  • Ms. Nathida Polsue, Associate Dean for International Affairs at the International College

Empowering the Next Generation of Engineers

The primary purpose of KMUTNB’s visit was to actively recruit prospective international students to apply for the prestigious English and International programs hosted by the university. To attract high-caliber global talent, KMUTNB announced that it is offering full and half tuition-waived scholarships to eligible candidates.

During the fair, the Faculty of Engineering proudly showcased its six specialized programs designed to equip students for the global workforce:

  • English program in Electrical Engineering and Smart Systems

  • English program in Robotic Engineering and Automation System

  • International program in Aerospace Engineering

  • International program in Mechanical Engineering for Design and Innovation

  • International program in Materials Engineering and Design

  • Artificial Intelligence and Communication Engineering

Strengthening Educational Ties

The fair was organized by the Association of Myanmar Alumni from Universities in Thailand (AMAUT) with support from the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon. The event served as a comprehensive platform for prospective students to explore study opportunities across various disciplines, including engineering, technology, business, economics, and tourism.

Mr. Yordying Supasri, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon, presided over the event and delivered the opening remarks. During his address, he emphasized the critical role of educational cooperation between Thailand and Myanmar. He highlighted this collaboration as a fundamental pillar in strengthening people-to-people relations between the two nations and reaffirmed the Embassy’s unwavering commitment to supporting educational opportunities for Myanmar youth.

By participating in the 11th Thailand Education Fair, KMUTNB continues its mission to foster cross-cultural academic partnerships and provide world-class engineering education.
