Bridging Borders: IEM UiTM Student Section Successfully Concludes International Mobility Program at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB)

BANGKOK, THAILAND – The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) UiTM Student Section, under the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam, has successfully concluded a dynamic six-day international mobility program with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. (KMUTNB).

Held from November 22 to 27, 2025, the program was designed to foster academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and discussions on global sustainability between Malaysian and Thai engineering students.

A Journey of Academic and Cultural Exchange

Upon arrival, the UiTM delegation was warmly welcomed by KMUTNB representatives and transported to The Loft Resort Bangkok. The program officially kicked off on Day 2 with a welcoming ceremony and an “Ice Breaking” session, where students bonded over local cultural games facilitated by the Thai hosts, followed by an extensive campus tour of KMUTNB’s facilities.

A major highlight of the visit was the academic discourse held on Day 3. Students and lecturers participated in keynote sessions featuring speakers from both UiTM and KMUTNB. This was followed by the IFES Forum, a high-level collaborative meeting focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The itinerary also included an immersive Excursion Program on Day 4, allowing students to explore the local landscape, followed by a day of final group presentations on Day 5. The visit concluded with a Closing Ceremony and a gift exchange, cementing the relationship between the two institutions before the delegation departed from Don Mueang International Airport.
