CIEP Invites Students to Enroll in “Global Entrepreneurship & Innovation” Elective Course for Semester 2/2025

The Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), is pleased to announce the opening of “010243999 Special Topics in Management: Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation,” a free-elective course designed to develop students into globally minded innovators and future entrepreneurs.

This unique course is co-taught by professors from the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech), USA, together with experienced KMUTNB faculty members. Delivered primarily online, the course provides Thai students the opportunity to work in multinational teams with peers from the United States, Europe, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other countries, creating an immersive global learning experience.

A Course Built for Future Global Innovators

The Global Entrepreneurship course emphasizes real-world problem solving aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students will work collaboratively with international teammates to:

  • Identify global and local social challenges

  • Develop innovation-driven solutions

  • Build early-stage concepts for social enterprises

  • Receive coaching from GA Tech and KMUTNB professors

  • Practice self-learning through a flipped-classroom model

Course activities include online lectures, team-based presentations, and weekly 1.5-hour live sessions. Since its launch in 2022, this course has provided KMUTNB students with valuable opportunities to build global competence, creativity, and leadership.

Who Should Apply

The course is open to KMUTNB students from all engineering fields who are:

  • Motivated to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation

  • Interested in working with international peers across different time zones

  • Ready to challenge themselves and improve English communication skills

  • Able to commit to regular attendance and timely assignment submissions

  • Willing to step outside their comfort zone and grow as global citizens

Students selected for the program will officially register for the course and receive a grade jointly evaluated by GA Tech and KMUTNB professors.
