Academic Collaboration in Space Technology and Engineering

On February 7th, a strategic meeting was convened between representatives from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) led by Prof. Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn, Vice President for Research Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong, Vice President for International Affairs, and Dr. Ludovic ANDRES, Scientific and University Cooperation Attaché, Lt. Colonel Franck Arnaudon, Military Attaché, French Embassy in Thailand, Mr. Jorge Gonzalez Lopez, Airbus Defence and Space Thailand Head, and Mr. LECARON Julen and Mr. RAFFIN Vincent, two exchange students from French Air and Space Academy to discuss academic collaboration in space technology and engineering.

Formal discussion (10:00-11:00 AM, Room 328, Building 81) was held and included presentation of KMUTNB’s space technology projects, French student internship program overview, possibility of bilateral Thai-French military technological cooperation discussion

Research Facility Tour (11:00 AM-12:00 PM, INSTED, 3rd Floor, Building 83 MAE) led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Numpon Mahayotsanun and Dr. Phongsatorn Saisutjarit from International Institute of Space Technology for Economic Development (INSTED), KMUTNB. During the laboratory tour, French Exchange Students from the French Air and Space Academy engaged in detailed discussions with Thai student researchers about their joint MARS rovers development project, highlighting innovative technological approaches and collaborative research methodologies.
